The International Association for Energy Economics has rolled out an extensive program of webinars on topics reaching all facets of energy economics.

IAEE is inviting you on September 14th, 2022 to the webinar with the Climate Economics Chair members on Climate Change Policies: lessons from Europe topic.

Moderator:

Anna Creti: Full Professor at Université Paris Dauphine – PSL, Paris; Director of the Climate Economics Chair (Dauphine PSL University) 

Speakers:

Marc Baudry: Professor of economics at the University of Paris Nanterre and head of the research program CO2 pricing and Low-Carbon Innovation at the Climate Economics Chair

Philippe Delacote: Research director at INRAe and head of the Agriculture and Forests research program at the Climate Economics Chair.

Olivier Massol: Professor of economics at IFP School, a graduate school of engineering, and serves as head of the Energy Transitions research program at the Climate Economics Chair.

Europe is one of the worldwide leaders in setting environmental and climate policies. We will review some of them, to the light of the latest developments proposed in the context of the RePowerEU framework, prompted by the Russian-Ukranian war, and the recent decisions on how to reach carbon neutrality in 2050. We will discuss the EU-ETS credibility, policies to decarbonize electricity demand, carbon offsetting.
