The presentation will show recent research from the research group “Energy and Transport” at KIT starting with projections of the market penetration by alternative drive train technologies. A comprehensive outline of how electric vehicles can be synergetic integrated into the electricity system forms the core of the presentation. This includes different perspectives: household, decentral, and central level as well as grid and generation. A focus in on which approaches can be used to measure indirect emissions (by power plants) from electric vehicles.

Furthermore, the optimal allocation of fast charging stations along highways as well as stationary storages in combination with photovoltaic systems and electric vehicles in private households are presented.
