Title: Presentation of the final report by the DG Trésor on the economic challenges of the transition to carbon neutrality

Abstract: The Direction Générale du Trésor published a report in January 2025 on the economic challenges of the transition to carbon neutrality. Inspired by the Net Zero Review conducted by the UK Treasury, this report analyzes the major economic challenges of the transition to carbon neutrality for the French economy, combining macroeconomic and sectoral perspectives and integrating the impacts on businesses, the labor market, foreign trade, and households. The presentation will focus in particular on the analysis of the distributive challenges of the transition and its implications for public finances.
